Class Objectives

To establish the research theme through the discussion with the supervisor, to clarify the positioning and purpose of the theme based on the papers concerned with the theme, to plan and carry out the survey, experiment and/or measurement concretely, to obtain fundamental knowledge for the improvement of the research field according to the results analyzed 
Class Schedule Students examine their research themes expected to obtain the knowledge for the development of architectural environment and building equipment field. They propose the themes through the discussion with other professors and students after their presentation in the laboratory.
They clarify the positioning and purpose of the themes through collection and arrangement of papers related to the themes.
According to the purpose of the theme, they choose appropriate method, plan and carry out the survey, experiment and/or measurement concretely.
By means of variable statistical method, they analyze the data acquired. They try to choose the appropriate analysis based on the suggestion by other professors and students obtained at the presentation in the laboratory. Finally, they establish fundamental knowledge, based on the result.

Advice for preparation and review is provided through discussion in each lesson. 
Requirements This seminar is unable to be registered by a student whose supervisor is not a lecturer of this seminar.  
Grading Method Performance is evaluated collectively, based on the definiteness of the positioning and purpose of research theme, appropriateness of the research method chosen, the ability of carrying out survey, experiment and/or measurement, the value of the results and the consistency with the purpose.
