Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Radiation is used in medicine and engineering and enriches our lives. However, if used incorrectly, it can also be dangerous and have a large impact on the human body. In this course, students will acquire correct knowledge about radiation and radioactive materials, and learn how to protect themselves by learning radiation protection and radiation measurement methods.
Class Schedule lesson1 Learning the physical properties of radiation and radioactive materials
lesson2 Learn about the penetrating power of radiation through matter and its units
lesson3 Learn about the benefits of using radiation: x-ray diagnosis
lesson4 Learn about nuclear medicine diagnosis, a benefit of using radiation
lesson5 Learn about radiation therapy, a benefit of using radiation
lesson6 Learn about nuclear power, an industrial application use of radiation
lesson7 To learn about the use and analysis of radiation in the agro-industrial field, which is the industrial application use of radiation
lesson8 Learn about cosmic radiation and radiation from the earth, which is natural radiation
lesson9 Learn about acute radiation injury and carcinogenesis, the effects of radiation on the human body
lesson10 Learning about the negative aspects of radiation from past radiation exposure accidents
lesson11 Learn about radiation exposure from radioactive materials outside the body and appropriate protection against it
lesson12 Learn how to measure radiation of radioactive materials in the body
lesson13 Learn about radiation exposure due to radioactive materials in the body and how to properly protect against it
lesson14 Learn how to decontaminate radioactive materials adhering to body surfaces
lesson15 Learn the principles of radiation measuring instruments and their use
