Class Objectives /Class Outline |
This lecture focuses on the understanding of human functions and modeling technologies, and their engineering applications in academia and industry. The development of machines, tools, and information technology has led to the development and marketing of many smart devices. In order to develop devices that are easy to use for many people and support their social life, it is essential to know the physical and cognitive characteristics of people and to design the functions of the devices based on them. In this lecture, the physical, motor, perceptual, and sensory characteristics of a human will be outlined. Human interfaces and interactions based on the latest understanding of human characteristics, as well as systems that extend human functions and abilities, will also be explained. |
