In this lecture, the structure and electronic states of clean solid surfaces and molecular/atom adsorbed surfaces, and surface-specific phenomena etc. will be explained. In addition, various experimental methods used in surface science will be described. Furthermore, some of the forefront researches of surface science will be introduced.
