1) In every class, we will introduce example cases of registration of real properties by referring to maps, certification of registration, and application forms. After that, students will extract issues and summarize procedure of registration through reports and Q&A sessions.
2) Handouts and assignments will be posted on TKC.

【Outline of the course】
We will explain registration of real properties as a method to made public notification. Also, we also consider issues such as effects of registration, credibility of registries information, and reliability of registered information, and other issues that are said to be critical in modern society, such as inconsistency between transaction, in which payment and transaction happens simultaneously, and registered information, which usually changes are made after transaction.
【Aims】
1) To understand issues, significance of and relations between registered books, maps, registered information, and complementary information. Through this process, students will learn roles of register system.
2) To develop abilities to make legal decisions and selection of procedures, which are required to conduct registration in practice. Students also will learn the following essential elements: Investigation of registered information, changes in real rights, confirmation of one's will to register real estate, necessary conditions to apply for registration, etc.
3) To understand differences between Rights to Claim Registration of Real Property and Rights to Apply for Registration of Real Property. Students also will develop practical skills in order to registrant changes in rights of property.

Certificate of Registered Matters, maps, applicatoin information. (examples) We will deliver handouts to introduce example cases and to be used in lectures. We will use "Introduction to Real Estate Registration" (Akio Yamanome, Nihon Keizai Shimbunsha) as a textbook.
It is expected that students will read Book of Six Major Laws concerning property registration, which covers Real Property Registration Order, Ordinance on Real Property Registration, ordinance about the procedure of the property registration (Ordinance about the procedure of the property registration), Registration and License Tax Law, and Act on Special Measures Concerning Taxation.
