This course will focus on lectures and discussion. Particularly, we will take a style in which students will deliver presentations and have discussions about example cases. Through discussions, we hope students will learn reconsider their ways to express their ideas and how to discuss with evidence.

【Outline of the course】
Students will learn legal systems concerning consumer damages in consumer transactions and also consider how to claim in a practical way.  In particular, we will consider remedies based on understanding of provisions of Civil Code, contract, illegal acts, and consumer protection.
【Aims】
Based on example cases concerning consumer issues, students will consider remedies from the stand point of victims. Students also will develop skills to discuss verbally or non-verbally. With hope to develop these skills, students also learn how to think by themselves.
