Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Based on their topics of action research, students will go through 10-day training at the board of education under the mentorship of members of the board of education. By reviewing what they learn and find through training, students will 1) understand educational administrative jobs, 2) obtain perspectives of educational administrative jobs, and 3) acquire specific business skills and abilities to conduct educational administrative policies. In training, students will clarify the significance of administrative jobs, by being aware of perspectives of the board of education. Also, students will develop practical abilities and skills, including planning skills, negotiation skills, by making presentations with the awareness of roles of administration as well as their roles. Through these activities, students will strengthen their sense of responsibility. 
Class Schedule This class includes 1) Preliminary instructions, 2) practicum, and 3) after training.

1) Preliminary instructions
・Students will receive instructions on the significance of the practicum and how they should be ready for it by supervisors.
・Based on the mentorship of supervisors and mentors, students will make plans for their practicum, such as where they will conduct training and contents.
2) Practicum
・Based on instructions by mentors, researchers and supervisors will observe the practicum, and give advice on presentations.
3) After training
・Students will make portfolios and reports based on the 10-day training.

The instructor will give an advice on what a desirable teacher is like in the situation of today’s education reform. Based on the advice, students should identify their own challenge and make an effort to overcome the issues. 
Requirements  
Grading Method Evaluation will be based on portfolio, professional development plan, distinctive educational policy, and attitude in practicum (activity log, observation and meeting by mentors)
・Based on evaluation given by mentors, portfolios written by students, and professional development plans, distinctive educational policy, and attitude in practicum (activity log, observation and meeting by mentors), supervisors and university teachers will evaluate.
・Evaluation includes 5 scales

Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it Teachers who have gained experience at the school will provide guidance on actual tasks.
