Class Objectives
/Class Outline
This course will focus on learning the basic strategies of researching and writing academic papers. The better and higher researching skills can be hoped to achieve through the actual experience of writing a thesis to be presented for a graduation thesis at Graduate School of Humanities and Sciences (IEDP-International Educational Development Program) at Hiroshima university.  
Class Schedule ・The research progress made as a special auditing student of Morito Institute of Global Higher Education 3+1 Program will be thoroughly checked, and based on this, a strategic research plan will be organized for each student.
・Advice and instructions will be provided based on the plan.
・With occasional consultations and academic discussions, how far the research progress made by each student will be assessed. An appropriate instruction will always be given when necessary.
・The course takers will submit the final report on their research project and also will conduct a presentation.
This course will be conducted in the order as listed below:
(1) The first assessment of the research progress and the making of proper plans
(2) Giving advice and instructions on research projects
(3) Giving advice and instructions on research presentations
(4) The interim research presentation meeting and the assessment of the progress
(5) Giving advice and instructions based on (4)
(6) Giving advice and instructions on research presentations based on (4)
(7) The submission of the final report and the final research presentation meeting

Requirements This course is exclusively held for the students who are enrolled in Graduate School of Humanities and Sciences, IEDP (Internatinal Educational Development Program) at Hiroshima University 
Grading Method Attitudes and preparations of the research activities, academic discussions, research presentations, and final reports will all be considered in evaluation.
