Class Objectives
/Class Outline
 Through this course, the students are expected to learn the theory of student-centered learning and points of lesson observation and acquire more practical and concrete knowledge about developing lesson plan through observing the lesson videos and discussion. This course covers the science, mathematics and social studies. Finally, students will make a final lesson plan of science or mathematics or social studies in group and practice “a lesson study”.

Preparation and
Review
Watching the lesson video repeatedly is to strengthen observation ability and insight of lesson. 
Requirements During the first week, there will be general explanation about the whole course, and so the possible students are expected to attend the lecture. If any chance, lesson observation may be done in the attached elementary school or public elementary school. According to the schedule and location of the school, the extra hours except for the normal hours (Wednesday 1・2・3・4 period and 5) may be utilized for lesson observation.
 
Grading Method ・Attitudes will be evaluated in terms of participation.
・Students are required to submit a report on lesson observation four times and the report will be evaluated in term of how they grasp the perspectives of observation.
・The final lesson study by group and individual report will be evaluated.
 
Practical Experience  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it  
Message The date of the classroom visit at the affiliated elementary school has not been set. We will be able to inform you on the first day of classes. On the day of the class visit, students will leave early in the morning and will return to the campus at 2:00 p.m., so please do not take afternoon classes.
