Suggestions on
Preparation and
Review
Research period for writing a master thesis is divided into the following: 1. Period until investigation/experiment is performed based on the research theme.2. Period after data of investigation/experimental data is obtained. To eliminate all problems and unclear points in each phase, consider them by yourself, and resolve them by listening to advisor or other students’ guidance/opinions.  In period 1, execution of preliminary investigation and main experiment is important. So, you need to have much time. Problems concerning procedures must be resolved immediately. In period 2, it’s important to conduct a statistics processing through the research plan and interpret the result appropriately. Try to study it beforehand by yourself, clarify questions (in some cases, after preparing multiple options as solution), seek other’s advice. In the process of interpretation/observation of results, don’t forget to enhance logicality, objectivity, and consistency.
Requirements Students must have taken (or are supposed to take) “Seminar on Psychology of Language Education” and “Advanced Studies on Psychology of Language Education.”
Grading Method Students to be comprehensively assessed by the verbal presentations of their own studies and approach in Q&A, understanding level of the contents of their studies (50%), and participation in discussions on other students' study presentations (50%).
