Current problems on technology (Monozukuri) and programming educations for juveniles (children in elementary and junior high schools) will be practically understood. Studying materials for the solution of the problems will be developed, analyzed and evaluated. The participants will acquire, through the class, basic capacities to practice technology and programming classes in respective schools.

Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Participants will choose problems on technology (Monozukuri) or/and programming educations for juveniles and will develop studying materials for the solution and will practice them. The choice must be by discussions basic understandings in juvenile education.   
The class will go along the sequence of 1. Problem choice, 2. Literature research, 3. Analyzing problems, 4. Proposing research plan, 5. Basic experiment, 6. Development of studying materials, and 7. Presentation of the research results. An ICT robot for fostering humanity and sociality will be introduced as an example. Through the class, basic and practical capacities to manage technology and programming classes in respective schools.
 
Class Schedule 1. Orientation: Purpose and goals of the class.
2. Choosing problem: Problems on technology (Monozukuri) and programming educations.  
3. Literature research 1: Clarifying current problems on technology (Monozukuri) and programming educations.
4. Literature research 2: Search for solution.
5. Planning studying materials for solution.
6. Experiment for searching solution 1: Experiment of studying materials related to daily life and social problems.
7. Experiment for searching solution 2: Data collection.
8. Experiment for searching solution 3: Data analysis.
9. Experiment for searching solution 4: Discussion and conclusion of the experiment.
10. Development of studying material 1: Planning (framework).
11. Development of studying material 2: Choosing a plan.
12. Development of studying material 3: Preliminary trial.
13. Development of studying material 4: Discussion and proposal of improved plan.
14. Presentation of research results 1: Preparing presentation.
15. Presentation of research results 2: Presentation, summary and evaluation.
