Class Objectives
/Class Outline
[Objective 1] Understand the characteristics of modern industrial society and capitalism.
[Objective 2] Critically learn the basic concepts necessary to understand modern industrial society and capitalism.
[Objective 3] Understand the various issues concerning social inequality and class movement in modern industrial society and capitalism.

[Summary] Students learn about changes in industrial and employment structure, changes in labor policies and systems, and changes in the class structure after the war in Japan. Also, students learn about the worsening female workers' working conditions after covid-19 pandemic. In particular, students learn about changes in the industrial structure called Industry 4.0. In addition, students explore various issues concerning income redistribution.
