Class Objectives
/Class Outline
In this class, I would like students to identify the ethical, legal and social issues raised by life sciences (advanced science and technology) from various perspectives and consider their pros and cons ethically. Specifically, I will cover animal-based organ production technology, organoid technology, reproductive technology, and genome editing technology. The aim of the class is not simply to identify the problems but to lead a normative answer. In doing so, I would like students to be aware and critical of their position and their methodology to confront the problem.
