Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Over the course of a year, we will overview the basics of corpus linguistics and aim to acquire the basic techniques used in corpus analysis. Students also aim to explore the potential of its application in their own research theme. During the first semester, students will learn the basics of corpus linguistics by reviewing various English/German corpora, search/analysis tools, and research cases. In the class, students will read materials written in German or English in turns while using PCs so that they can get familiar with various corpus search and analysis tools.
