Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Various research technologies for analyzing the structure, modification, and function of genes and proteins are used in the field of biomedical sciences. Research technologies for understanding morphological and physiological abnormalities at tissue / individual level with gene, protein and cell level resolution have also been developed. Specialists with the ability to understand the principles of these diverse analytical techniques and to accurately analyze and interpret the obtained data are required in the rapidly advancing biomedical science field. Therefore, in this course subjects, we learn systematically the principle and application of research technology supporting life science research at the molecular, cellular and individual level. By doing this, we aim to acquire a wide range of knowledge and problem-solving skills as necessary in the biomedical science field.
Teachers who are actually conducting research using each advanced technology become lecturers, and lecture on the principle and application of each research technology. Lecture will be advanced in each class lesson in a way suitable for understanding of each research technique. Sometimes we distribute handouts as necessary, and we may impose quizzes and report preparation. Because it is a lecture subject which also leads to understanding of other lesson subjects, we recommend taking this in the first year of master course.
