Class Objectives
/Class Outline
The following are the undergraduate student's achievement goals and training methods. Based on what they have learned in the nursing education special course, students understand how to understand students' readiness and give instructions so that they can practice effectively. Learn how to teach in practice through this instruction
<Course description>
This course is placed as the final clinical practicum in the undergraduate program in order for students to well prepare and integrate nursing knowledge and practice prior to graduating to real clinical sites.
Through this practicum, students will learn and understand clinical practice from management perspective, and be able to take care of more than one or two patients and tasks concurrently.
At the same time, this course is planned for students to be able to understand patient-care-continuum and care-level-shift from an acute care site to aat-home care sites.
<Objectives>
During this clinical practicum, the students will be able to;
1. Learn and observe nurse managers including a Unit Manager (Head nurse) and a team leader, and understand basics of nursing manage 
Class Schedule Details are written in the student course guidebook.
Practice site: Hiroshima University Hospital. Floors are assigned prior to the clinical practice.
Ways of practice: Students will take one to two cases(patients) with chronic diseases and/or cancer in charge as a primary care nurse.
Case discussion and case conference: Teachers and clinical preceptors daily check your assessment, care plans, and implementation of nursing care, and advise you.
The first case conference will be held in the middle of the first week, then final case conference will be on the last day of the course.
Students will follow the specialty area and follow the instruction listed in the student course guidebook.
Duration of clinical practice: 10 days (2 weeks)

1. Clinical Journals
Students are allowed to decide their own style, such as writing style, holders, hand writing, word processor typing, so forth, which promote and facilitate own learning. Contents listed below need to be included.
- daily practice journal: attainment, practice, thoughts, and reflection
-what you studied including disease pathology, treatment, nursing care, and so forth.
2. Conference
1) Daily discussion with teachers and clinical preceptors
2) Evaluation Conference held on the final day of the practicum period.

Listed in the student clinical practice guidebook. 
Requirements Students who will be doing the practical training in Japanese will be taught in Japanese, and students who will be doing the practical training in English will be taught in English. However, since the students to be supervised are primarily Japanese-speaking and the clinical site is in Japanese, it is desirable that they understand Japanese. 
Grading Method Evaluation will be based on performance of instruction to students and attitude.  Evaluation criteria is listed in the student course guidebook. 
Practical Experience Experienced  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it Has clinical experience as a nurse, administrative experience (Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare), and experience in a venture company. It is possible to provide research guidance that makes use of these experiences.
