<Course Description>
Through this course, students will learn theories, concepts and methodologies to improve the quality and outcomes of healthcare. Specifically, students will acquire skills of how to analyze organizations/outcomes, evidence-based practice (EBP) development, quality indicators, medical safety, and nursing management.

<Objectives>
Upon completion of the course the students will be able to;
1. Acquire ideas and methods to analyze, evaluate, and improve the quality of healthcare care in an assigned setting.

Outcome Management: Analyze your own organization: Introduction to analysis tools

As listed on the class guide, students prepare for each class and accumulate them and develop the final report.
 
Requirements For English speaking students, the class will be provided in English. For Japanese speaking students, the separated class will be prepared in Japanese. 
Grading Method  Implementation of each assignment 40%
 Submission of an assignment report 60%
(Points to be evaluated: Clarity of the issue, logic, concreteness and clarity of the solution, and degree and appropriateness of citation of reference/citations)
 
Practical Experience Experienced  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it The instructor has a clinical nursing experience and was a Nursing Officer at MHLW. She conducted various kinds of outcome management research studies, research publications and books.
