Class Objectives
/Class Outline
In developing one's own career and achieving self-realization, as well as succeeding in different organizations and environments, transferable skills are crucial. In the class, we first provide an overview of transferable skills necessary for future career options and excelling in diverse social settings, enabling students to understand their strengths and weaknesses for self-realization. We examine the elements of transferable skills essential for demonstrating leadership and consider action plans during doctoral studies through research examples and interviews with scholars. As part of developing transferable skills, we enhance communication abilities needed for eliciting empathy and involvement from others by conducting three-minute presentations on our own research topics, followed by mutual evaluations.
