Class Objectives /Class Outline |
This course is designed to help the participants to develop skills to find solutions, from the viewpoint of his/her specialties, to urgent matters in the present-day international community. The themes include the issues of poverty, famine, refugee, peacebuilding, gender, environment, and conflicts around the world. The participants gain the ability to present the solutions concretely and theoretically, while studying the specific cases and current status in each theme. There is a huge gap between the ideal and real society. This course provides the participants with knowledge helpful in explaining and overcoming that gap. |

Requirements |
This course is one of the on-demand courses offered for those who have difficulty attending school during regular hours (doctoral course). All students are eligible to take these on-demand classes, but there are a limited number of places. Priority will be given to those who have filled out the priority registration request form and stated that they are unable to take the course during regular hours. Remaining places will be allocated to other students by computerized random selection. Grading Method |
Grading (1) Short comments for each session (300-500 Japanese words/each session) -20% of total grade. You have to submit the comments for all classes by Aug.5, 2024.
(2) Multiple Choice Exam (50 questions)with the use of MS Forms-80% of the total grade. Please take that exam when you find most convenient during the designated period (Five days, Aug.1-Aug5, 2024) For the Forms exam, be sure to put ✔ into the box "I will receive an email confirmation of my answers" and submit the form.
