An intensive seminar for a whole day will be done by Microsoft Teams. Teams will be used for submitting assignments before and after the intensive seminar.
Caution: The language used for this seminar is Japanese only.

This course is one of the elective subjects in the category of "Sustainable Development Courses" for Common Graduate Courses. This category of courses aims to provide opportunities for students to understand the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), set by an international agreement. It also aims to equip students with the ability to advance science to enable sustainable development and the ability to solve various challenges in society.

Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Students, who are going to be highly specialized human resources (= doctoral course students) in varieties of research fields, will be assembled in a small group (4 persons from different backgrounds) and lead a plausible solution for one of the SDGs. The language used in the class is Japanese. The students’ groups are expected to find out an effective solution, through processes of “mind-opening”, “brainstorming”, “idea classification” and “action plan making”.  Based on the previous discussion, each group gives a presentation.  Submit final report by two weeks after the intensive seminar.  
Class Schedule December 9 (Mon) - December 14 (Sat)-----Watching videos and submitting assignments before the intensive seminar.

December 15 (Sun) ----Intensive seminar from 9AM to 6PM. Students will be assembled in a small group (4 persons from different backgrounds) and lead a plausible solution for one of the SDGs, through “mind-opening”, “brainstorming”, “idea classification” and “action plan making”.

December 23(Mon) ----Final report submission (deadline)

※Caution: This class is conducted in Japanese.

No exam, but the score will be given based on the presentation and final report.
