In this course, our primary theme is "sociolinguistics." We will be focusing on the examination of language activities conducted by both native Japanese speakers and learners of the Japanese language from a sociocultural standpoint. This perspective will allow us to reevaluate the diversity within the Japanese language and the regulatory framework governing its usage. Furthermore, we will explore the intricate relationship between society and language, while also delving into the implications of language use within the context of Japanese language education.
