Class Objectives
/Class Outline
The course focuses on: (1) understanding of Japanese culture and society by discussing topics in daily life; (2) enriching vocabulary by dealing with various daily scenarios and situations, and (3) developing overall Japanese language skills through various language exercises. 
Class Schedule In this class, students will listen to some Japanese discourse and practice to catch the points below.

1. Outline of a speech
2. Structure of a speech
3. Contractive expressions
4. Indiscernible pronunciations
5. Skipping over unfamiliar words
6. Conjunctions
7. Expression for drawing a line
8. Revision, Exam


An exam will be given in week 7.
In week 8, feedback on the exam will be given.
Students will write and submit an essay in class.
