Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Class Objectives: Through sport practice suited to their own physical characteristics and skill levels, students will understand the value of playing sports throughout their lifetime and will also acquire social skills related to manners and cooperation.
Class Outline: Students will learn basic soccer skills and tactics. They will also learn soccer rules and refereeing, and will voluntarily manage soccer games. Communication ability in sport will be enhanced. Theory of exercise intensity and a method of exercise intensity estimation will also be learned.
 
Class Schedule Lesson 1: Introduction and ice-breaking.
Students gather in the West Sports Ground dressed in a gym uniforms and shoes.  The course is outlined. Explanations of gym uniforms, locker rooms, roll-call points, roll-call points in case of rain, and several other things.
Lesson 2: Students gather at the West Sports Ground; theory of exercise intensity and estimation method of soccer exercise intensity; ball mastering, passing ball round, mini games
Lesson 3: Theory and practice of skills of individual players; mini-games, acquisition of feel of a game  
Lesson 4: Theory and practice of team tactics; defense /offense tactics to be learned through mini games (These tactics will be learnt in the form of a mini-game, where, for the sake of practice, the number of players in one team is smaller than that of the other team.)
Lesson 5: Theory and practice in half-court games; rules and refereeing
Lesson 6: Theory and practice of tactics in a game (11 players vs. 11 players) (1)

Students are expected to understand soccer rules and refereeing after the sixth class meeting onward. 
Requirements Any student, regardless of sex or soccer experience, can take this course. 
Grading Method Evaluation will be based on the following three points: whether the student has followed instructions given during the classes (70%), and participation and contribution in class (30%).

Message Students are advised to be careful about their physical condition on the day of the class. They should prepare for the heat and should bring drinking water with them.
