Lesson1: To write a report as an intellectual product. Comparing two reports [2]. (1) What are the differences in first impressions. (2) Are there differences in the report's objectives? (3) What methods are used to achieve the objectives? (4) "A more beautiful question"[1]. Lesson2 Practical training (1) Learn about human information processing characteristics and improve sample presentations [3]. (2) Why a diagram is (sometimes) worth ten thousand words (3) Relationship between figures and text in reading comprehension (4) Selecting a search topic Lesson 3 (1) The importance of having questions. (2) Different types and choices of information sources, finding examples of the Reference cooperative database. (3)At OPAC of vast books, after selecting "Include reviews and tags", type in "student selection(学生選書)" and try searching. Lesson 4 Practice Selecting a search topic Lesson 5 (1) Overview of information retrieval (2) Search mechanism6th Practical training Lesson 6 (1) Searching on the Web (2) Get information on government agencies by specifying .go.jp. Combine with date and time specification. Looking up information on government agencies related to the new coronavirus in chronological order. (3) Get information on U.S. universities by specifying .edu. (4) Prepare a midterm presentation (2 slides) Post it on Moodle bulletin board. Lesson 7 Midterm presentation 1 minute for each student Q&A will be held on the board.
