Class Objectives /Class Outline |
In this class and Intensive German II, students can learn the vocabulary, expressions and grammar necessary for basic communication in everyday life in German-speaking countries. Together with German I in the summer semester, you can achieve the A1 level of the CEFR set by the Council of Europe and more. We'll also deal with German culture as well as language, and provide opportunities to consider the cultural differences between Japan and Germany. |

It is advisable to learn vocabulary independently at your own pace. Also, to keep up with the teaching contents, you have to do your homework regularly. |
Requirements |
You have to take all following classes: Monday 9/10 (Intensive/Harting), Tuesday 5/6 (Basic/Yoshimitsu), Thursday 5/6 (Basic/Yoshimitsu) and Friday 9/10 (Intensive/Harting). It is impossible to take only this class. |
Grading Method |
Students will be assessed on an overall basis, with approximately 40% of the grade based on ordinary points (e.g. submission of assignments and active participation in class) and 60% based on examinations (e.g. quizzes, mid-term and final examinations). |
