Class Objectives
/Class Outline
The goal of this class is to familiarize students with the aesthetic and ideological characteristics of Japanese Mass-Media, Media-Mix as well as with elements of Anthropology of Media. As a practical example, the animation works of Studio Ghibli are analyzed in parallel with theoretical explanations. The oral presentations and the final term-papers of the participants should be focused on aspects of anime works released by Studio Ghibli.
