In this course, we will provide an overview of the political activities of women during the French Revolution. We will examine how the legal, political and social status of women evolved or remained unchanged through the course of the French Revolution. Additionally, we will explore the issue of "masculinity" that emerged with the establishment of conscription during the revolutionary period, reevaluating the French Revolution from a broader gender historical perspective.
