/Class Outline
Living in the age of globalization, we are expected to have more knowledge and understanding of religions in the world. In this course we learn baics of Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Chinese religions (Buddhism, Taoism, and religious ellements in Confucianism) from the perspectives of comparative religion and historical sociology.

Lesson 1: Learn basics about religions in the world such as the religious mapping.
Lessons 2-4: Understand Christianity and its role in the making of West Europe.
Lessons 5-7: Understand Islam and its role in the making of West Asia.
Lessons 8-11: Understand Hinduism and Buddhism  and their roles in the making of South Asia.
Lessons 12-14: Understand Chinese religions and their roles in the making of East Asia.
Lesson 15: Review and reorganize what you have learnt in this course.
 
Requirements You must be interested in religions. 
Grading Method Class performance 30% and  examination 70%.
