Class Objectives /Class Outline |
This lecture considers the theme of "peace" from the perspective of cultural anthropology. Cultural anthropology uses a research method called ethnography to understand society from various practices through fieldwork. In the lecture, concrete representations and practices related to peace such as exhibition of war relics and peace museums, artistic representation of peace such as paintings and movies, significance of tourism in peace, etc. After learning, think about the relationship between "peace" and everyday life. |

Please thoroughly prepare for the contents of the detailed syllabus for each class distributed in the first guidance. Also, after class, please think about peace based on the contents of the lectures and the materials distributed. |

Comprehensive evaluation based on class participation <comment sheet> (20%), a report on peace (30%), and a final report (50%). Submission of a report on peace (separate instructions) is a prerequisite for credit recognition. |
