The "Advanced Seminar" will be held to give students opportunities to practically utilize their comprehensive knowledge to create new value and solve problems in society, based on their learning in the "Introductory Seminar for First-Year Students". It is designed for students to cultivate problem-finding and problem-solving skills through the study and discussion of cutting-edge topics and hands-on learning in small classes that transcend school and grade boundaries, and to develop challenge, presentation, and leadership skills. 
Expected OutcomeIn combination with the "Introduction to University Education" and the "Introductory Seminar for First-Year Students", students are expected to:
1. Form an independent learning attitude
2. Improve their problem-finding and problem-solving skills
3. Improve their logical and critical thinking skills
4. Improve their reading comprehension, expression, presentation, and discussion skills
5. Improve their communication and leadership skills

The purpose of this class is to consider the significance, problems, and future possibilities of Mokuiku through participation in the Mokuiku seminar. 
Class Schedule lesson1: Overview of wood and forests.
lesson2: Participation in seminar 1.
lesson3: Participation in seminar 2.
lesson4: Participation in seminar 3.
lesson5: Participation in seminar 4.
lesson6: Participation in seminar 5.
lesson7: Participation in seminar 6.
lesson8: Discussion and summary.

Lesson1: Research the background, purpose, methods, and practice examples of Moikuiku in books and on the Internet.
Lesson2-7: Research the content related to the seminar in books and on the Internet.
Lesson8: Prepare your presentation. 
Requirements  
Grading Method All of the following conditions must be met.
(1) Attend two or more seminars.
(2) Submission of report.
Evaluation will be on a pass/fail basis only, and will not be on a 5-step evaluation.
