Class Objectives /Class Outline |
This course aims to provide specialized English education enabling students to conduct international research and research presentations English, as well as to cultivate global human resources. In this course, students must participate in the three types of learning below to improve the quality of their work. Consultation in advance with the advisor and the partner university to select the topic each individual student will research while studying abroad. While abroad, students will conduct experiments, research surveys, etc., and write an article-style report in English on their topic before the conclusion of their study period abroad. After returning to Japan, students will present their report in English. For their individual research themes, students should choose a topic in their major field that is currently of interest worldwide. In presentations after returning to Japan, they must make sure to discuss their research accomplishments in a way that is accessible to students specializing in different fields. Students should receive guidance and advice regarding their research topic from Hiroshima University teachers, and fine-tune the content of their research with partner university teachers while abroad. Submit the presentation materials used in the proposal presentation to the Support Office. There are no strong restrictions on the theme of the proposal, but it should be related to the contents of the School of biological science (food, agriculture, environment, etc.), and it should be something that can only be conducted in Thailand or at Kasetsart University (i.e., it should not be something that can be simply researched on the Internet). |
