・Basic techniques and methodologies for handling foods and food materials, ability to understand various phenomena regarding foods from scientific points of view, and capability of organizing the study result in a report
・Capable of organizing and considering own issues to explore in the fields of food science from a social point of view based on experience of such as observation of a food manufacturing scene

We study this subject in order to make Japan's rural situation clear by using literature reviews or statistic analysis. We will understand how to catch the fact of rural societies in detail when we consider the rural promotion.

You will be required to prepare, report and submit a field survey analysis report.
*Participation in fieldwork is mandatory

Students will be divided into four groups and asked to give a group presentation on their field research (15 minutes for report, 5 minutes for Q&A).
Each group will prepare and submit a written report.

Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it You will be given lectures by professors who have work experiences at local government office or a federation of agricultural cooperatives in Japan, regarding as food policy, agricultural policy, and relationship between rural and urban areas.
In addition to it, people who have practical experiences will give us lectures at all places we visit.
