This is a introductory specialized subject taken by students of each program. The four experimentation subjects are General Chemistry, General Physics, General Biology I, and General Biology II. General Chemistry is fundamentally positioned as the first one taken among these.

Class Objectives
/Class Outline
This subject provides the basis for handling the biological components of foundational sciences related to the Applied Biological Sciences Department. We will conduct experimentation training in qualitative, quantitative, and instrumental analyses. 
Class Schedule Separation of biological components and colorimetric analysis
  Principles of chromatography and adjustment of eluents, column preparation
  Calibration curve of protein (color reaction, colorimetry by spectrophotometer)
  Separation of proteins and amino acids
  Preparing a chromatogram
  Data organization using PC     

Instrumental analysis
  Principles of the atomic absorption spectrometry and understanding equipment configuration
  Qualitative and quantitative determination of calcium ions
  Qualitative and quantitative determination of potassium ions
  Data organization using PC


Report preparation on the principles, methods, results, and investigations in class

Carefully read the texts passed out in advance and perform experiment simulations. Experiment results should be organized immediately after completion of each experiment. 
Requirements Attendance to all classes.
This course is not open to students from other school.
