1. Be able to understand the relationship between disasters and goetechnical characteristics from scientific view points
2. Be able to understand the problems of disasters in Chugoku region
3. Understand the mechanism of liquefaction, landslides, debris flows, and be able to analyze the technical problems related to these disaster
4. Be able to evaluate the risk of disastr at the region, and be able to propose countermeasures based on zoning
