Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Analytical chemistry aims to acquire information about substances and is the foundation of chemistry. This course aims to acquire fundamental knowledge about chemical analysis and physical analysis through lectures and exercises.

Evaluation criteria for "knowledge and understanding" and "skills and abilities" are as follows:
1. Understand the properties of acids and bases, dissociation equilibrium, and equilibrium constants, and be able to apply them to calculate the pH of various electrolyte solutions and solution compositions.
2. Understand the principles of neutralization titration and relate the properties of solutions at the titration endpoint.
3. Understand complex formation equilibrium and stability constants of complexes, and be able to calculate the composition of solutions.
4. Understand the principles of chelate titration and relate the properties of solutions at the titration endpoint.
5. Understand the interaction between electromagnetic waves, heat, and substances.
6. Understand the principles and characteristics of various luminescence spectroscopic analysis methods.
7. Understand spectrophotometry and be able to freely utilize the Lambert-Beer law.
8. Understand the principles of various spectroscopic analysis methods for acquiring structural information.
9. Understand the basic principles and applications of various chromatography methods.
