GIO Acquire basic knowledge and skills in tartar removal and tooth polishing and caries prophylaxis in order to perform safe dental prophylaxis procedures. SBOs 1. perform site-specific tartar removal with a sickle-type scaler according to clinical procedures. 2. Explain the application of the polishing tool. 3. The way type of scaling can be explained. 4. Sharpening can be done accurately. 5. Operation of the tooth flank polishing with a micro motor can be performed accurately. 6. Explain methods and requirements for caries prophylaxis 7. Explain the methods and precautions for conducting caries activity tests 8. Be able to explain fluoride applications and precautions for use |
