This practical training focuses on techniques to acquire the skills necessary for dental hygienists to remove tartar.

This class is on dental prophylaxis. It is the basis of the dental prosthodontics duties and is an important one that involves knowledge and skills.
It is the most basic course of specialized subjects, specialized knowledge and skills in the curriculum policy, and the operation of basic instruments is acquired through manikin practice.

Acquire basic knowledge and skills in tartar removal to perform safe dental prophylaxis operations

1. Explain the types and details of dental prophylaxis.
2. List the types of deposits and adhering materials and explain the causes of each.
3. Describe the types and characteristics of tartar removal instruments.
4. Reliable site-specific tartar removal with a Sickle Type Scaler.
5. Accurate sharpening of tartar removal instruments.

             Types of hand scalers, grasping and fixing methods, and manikin handling

Grading Method technical test 40% ,30% of a written examination, and 30% of a report/observation record.
