Class Objectives /Class Outline |
[Course outline]. Students will study and reflect on the knowledge and skills learned in each area repeatedly in situations that replicate actual clinical situations to develop the clinical decision-making process for practicing nursing and the ability to choose and implement appropriate skills. Practical training will be provided through scenario-based learning using high-modality simulators (mannequin) for children and adults, as well as through the use of various simulation devices to improve skills.
[Course Objectives]. After completion of this skills training, students will, 1. be able to perform basic clinical reasoning and response to sudden changes in a patient's condition 2. be able to provide basic education for patients requiring self-management. 3. be able to perform basic management of post-surgery patient. 4. be able to take a health history of a new patient, make clinical reasoning, and identify nursing problems. 5. learn the basic attitude of respect for patients. |

Suggestions on Preparation and Review |
Review what you have learned in the “Practicum in Adult Nursing” Exercise, as you will acquire the skills learned in the “Practicum in Adult Nursing” in the simulation exercise. In addition to this exercise, there will be a set-up in Room 401, so that students can practice on their own. |

- Have to completed all fundamental nursing courses and "Theory in Adult Nursing". - Have to register with "Practicum in Adult Nursing". |
Grading Method |
Skills test for 4 skills listed above. Skill checklist will be presented at the 1st session. Obtain a passing score of 60% or higher in the four techniques. |

Faculty members who have experience in nursing work and lecturers who are qualified as CNS or certified nurses, etc., and are currently active in the field on site will provide technical guidance. |

Since it is a simulation, students are strongly requested to practice in the exercise room outside of this lab hours to acquire the skills. |
