Class Objectives /Class Outline |
To strengthen the reading and writing ability of Earth and Planetary Sciences in English. Referencing-cross-referencing of scientific papers and oral presentation in English will help and prepare these students to their research activities from 4th year onward. |
Class Schedule |
lesson1: Introduction (basic structure of scientific literature) lesson2: Continue (Basic structure of scientific literature) lesson3: Scientific literature, referencing and cross-referencing (use of digital database like SCIRUS) lesson4: Continue (Use of digital library and journals) lesson 5 to lesson 9: Reading and understanding the article "How to read and write a paper?" lesson 10: Test lesson 11 to lesson 15: Students will deliver presentations on English on scientific paper of their choice (15 minutes per student). |
