To develop a deep understanding of basic molecular genetics.
This course will deal with the structure of nucleic acids and chromosomes and the mechanisms of replication, repair, and recombination.

Instructor will give instructions about preparation and review as needed. 
Requirements For a comprehensive understanding of genetics, students are encouraged to take Basic Biological Science A (HK140000),
Biochemistry A (HK190000), Molecular Genetics A (HK200000), Genetics A (HK460000), and Genetics B (HK480000). 
Grading Method The final grade is formed as a weighed sum of the exams mark (90%) and the mark from the active class participation (10%).
