(Applicable only to targeted subjects for undergraduate students)
Chemistry
(Knowledge and Understanding)
・Understanding and learning advanced expertise in several chemical and interdisciplinary areas.
Class Objectives
/Class Outline
.Such as physiologically active substances, biologically constructed substances, bioenergetic substances, genetic information substances
Outline the basic structure on the chemical structure and properties of biological substances and understand how they are involved in biological phenomena (biological functions) from the viewpoint of substance interaction and chemical reaction.
Class Schedule lesson1.Introduction of first lesson and experiment of demonstration
Exhibition presentation for the distribution of materials, the lesson plans / goal commentary, the relevance to chemical Ⅱ in upper secondary schools, the continuity with organic chemistry, the interest indication for evoking interest
2 nd Chemical of Carbohydrate I
Structure of carbohydrate, classification of carbohydrate, stereoisomer
Keywords: general formula · display method · D type arrangement · aldose · ketose
【Quiz test】 Small test on stereochemistry. "Knowledge", "intellectual ability / skill 1" are evaluated.
The 3rd Chemistry of Carbohydrates II
Chemical properties, monosaccharide derivatives, disaccharides
Keywords: reducing, uronic acid, sugar alcohol, sucrose
4th Chemistry of Carbohydrates III
Polysaccharides, storage polysaccharides and structural polysaccharides, complex polysaccharides
Key words: starch, glycogen, heparin, glycoprotein, dietary fiber (possibility of cutting depending on progress of lecture)
【Practicum in class】 We conduct exercises on the structure of carbohydrates. "Knowledge", "intellectual ability / skill 2" effectively.
Fifth Lipid Chemistry I
(General) structure of lipids, classification of lipids, fatty acids
Key words: triacylglycerol, saturated fatty acid, unsaturated fatty acid, essential fatty acid

Suggestions on
Preparation and
Review
.After the first lesson
Confirmation of the content of the lesson and review of the relevant field of high school chemistry.
After 2-4 lessons
Review and review the content of the lesson. Prepare for next lesson based on handouts.
At the end of the 4th session, the carbohydrate will be finished, so check the representative basic items
After 5-7 lessons
Review and review the content of the lesson. Prepare for next lesson based on handouts.
At the end of the seventh round, since lipid is terminated, check representative basic items.
After 8-11 lessons
Review and review the content of the lesson. Prepare for next lesson based on handouts.
For amino acids, a definite understanding of structure and notation is necessary. (Memorize what you should memorize securely)
After 12-14 lessons
Mass spectrometry is heterogeneous compared to the content of previous courses. Knowledge of physicochemistry is often required. Beforehand to review.
After the 15th class
Total confirmation of the contents of the lesson and a total review.

Requirements I do not ask at all whether I studied biology at high school.
(In statistics so far, there is no difference in the average points in this lecture between students who were studying physics at high school and students who were studying biology.
Grading Method Class performance is evaluated only by the final exam ("knowledge / understanding" overall evaluation).
70% of the final exam is a matter of questioning about knowledge, and 30% is "asking your thoughts" problem.
The evaluation viewpoint is as follows
Practical Experience
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it
