Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Social psychology is a field of study that attempts to clarify the various laws of human behavior based on the view of people as "social animals. In this lecture, the basic areas of social psychology (self, interpersonal relationships, interpersonal communication), consumer psychology, and decision making will be introduced as topics related to management and economics.

2. "Self" and "others" in social psychology
3. Functional meaning of wanting to know oneself: Self-evaluation motive and social comparison
4. How we perceive others: interpersonal cognition
5. Inferring the "cause" of behavior: attributional processes
6. Lights and shadows of close relationships: Adaptive significance of having close relationships
7. Communicating thoughts to others and sensing others' thoughts: interpersonal communication
8. Influence of "others" on various outcomes and interpersonal networks
9. Consumer behavior and marketing
10. Brand loyalty and social identity
11.Consumer decision-making and judgment
12.Consumer Attitude Formation
13. Influence of Individual Characteristics and Situational Factors on Consumer Behavior
14. Information dissemination and consumer behavior
15. Summary of the entire lecture, significance of thinking scientifically about social behavior


Students will be asked to submit their comments and assignments (online submission) by 24:00 on or after the end of each class, three days after the end of each class. This will be evaluated as the degree of your commitment to the class. In addition, a quiz will be administered (scheduled for the 15th class) to assess students' understanding of the proficiency level of the lecture assignments, and the scores of the quiz will be used as the basis for evaluation.

If more than 2/3 of the assignments are not submitted, or if students do not take the quiz, they will be excluded from the evaluation.

It is recommended that you double check each handout that you present on the LMS and read through the material in advance of the next session.
 
Requirements Students who violate lecture etiquette, such as talking in private or otherwise interfering with class progress, will not be permitted to attend. 
Grading Method You will be asked to submit a comment assignment each time (submitted online), basically by 24:00 three days after the end of each class. This will be evaluated as the degree of your commitment to the class (15 times x maximum 3 points = about 45 points).
In addition, a quiz will be administered (scheduled for the 15th class) to assess students' understanding of the level of mastery of the lecture assignments, and the score of the quiz will be combined with the score of the quiz to evaluate the students (about 55 points).
If more than 2/3 of the assignments are not submitted, or if the student does not take the quiz, he/she will be excluded from the evaluation.

Message All course materials will be provided via the LMS system, and assignments will also be submitted via the LMS system. Students are required to bring their own laptop computer to class.
