In this information-driven society, information and communication technologies (ICT) have developed as necessary tools to implement and realize the business strategies.   
This course is designed to provide a broad overview of  Management Information System (MIS) and its business roles  in Japanese firms.  In the meantime, we mostly take up management issues rather than technical issues as the topics of this course.

Grading Method In order to take the final exam, the participants must attend more than 2/3 of the lectures.
The grade is considered final examination 70%, assignment report 30%.

Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it A faculty member who has worked as an SE for an automobile manufacturer will use her experience to explain the current state and challenges of information systems in companies.
