Class Objectives /Class Outline |
Needless to say, the history is not “a learning by heart subject”. The past phenomenon was caused in environment or the condition of the times concerned, and, as for it, there is not plasticity. However, in an abstracted dimension, the phenomenon has a problem to overlap now. In this class, I aim for you acquiring the consciousness that they find a problem and consider from the historical essence. In the Edo era, a monetary economy and market economies spread in the Japanese Islands. And, with it as a base, economic growth and the industrialization progressed in afterward for the Meiji period. The Japanese economy traced the original development course (while coming under a global influence) afterwards. In this lecture, I want to think about a characteristic of the Japanese economy development, while investigating the factor. |

There is not the textbook. As a reference book, I recommend Japanese History series (Shogakukan, Shueisha, Chuokoron-Sha) for public. In addition, you should read "the introduction seminar Japanese economy" of Nihon Keizai Shimbun, Inc.. Both are comprised in the central library of Hiroshima Univ. |

I do not explain basic knowledge about the Japanese history some other time. The person who does not learn Japanese history in a high school hopes to read the educational comics "Japanese history" first of all. In addition, it is slightly difficult, but the comics "Japanese history" of Shotaro Ishinomori is good, too. |

I evaluate it by the comments of the every hour(10 points) and a term-end examination (90 points) . I pay attention to the next points and mark it. One, you think or not about essence, while writing comments and the answer of the examination? Two, you write them or not while associating the essence with a modern problem? |
