Class Objectives /Class Outline |
The aim of this course is to provide the basic ideas and concepts used in statistics, with a focus on applications to empirical economics. This statistics course introduces the basic concepts of statistical analysis, with a focus on applications to empirical economics. The course starts with an introduction to descriptive statistics and several economic statistics. The course is followed by an introduction to probability theory and then elementary of statistical estimation and hypothesis testing. |
