Class Objectives /Class Outline |
This seminar aims to help students to acquire analysis methods for urban and regional economics by focusing on urban and regional economic theory. We are going to examine how the urban spatial structures are determined, and to learn the rule of city size distribution by using analytical tools from regional science and spatial economics in an interdisciplinary way. We are also going to study how urban and regional economic policies affect traffic congestion, land use, regional disparities, and the environment. |
