This lecture focuses on the economic theory related with urban economy, and analyzes how the urban spatial structures are determined, as well as how the urban policies affect urban transport congestion, land use and the environment by using simple economic tools. Moreover, this lecture aims to help us to have a better understanding of the implications of various urban policies that are necessary to realize more comfortable and sustainable cities.

Requirements Basic knowledge of microeconomics and calculus are preferred. 
Grading Method Assignments 30%(weight), Final examination 50%(weight) and Classroom performance 20%(weight)
