As the diversification of the study in high school has progressed, the mentality of new students has also been diversified. On the other hand, in the academic studies in university, students are required to explore and discuss your own answers to the problems that may not have given answers, based on the logical thinking and evidence.
In the Introductory Seminar, we provide the opportunities to familiarize with the academic studies and aim to stimulate the communication among students and between students and instructors.

3. Mastering the methods to collect information and literature
4. Obtaining the logical and critical thinking
5. Improving the ability to read, present and discuss academic topics
6. Understanding of rules required in university life.

The purpose is to acquire skills of logical and critical thinking and proper expression and presentation of opinions. More precisely, we aim to acquire skills of reading, discussion, presentation, and writing.

Lesson 5(5/13):Introduction to university education
Lesson 6(5/20):Group discussion and writing
Lesson 7(5/27):Group discussion and writing
Lesson 8(6/3):Group discussion and writing
Lesson 9(6/12):First-year internship
Plan for Lesson 10 and beyond will be announced later as not all schedules are fixed (joint lecture and reception event will be held). Other lessons after lesson 10 mainly focus on the methods of presentation.

Grading Method Participation(50%), report(30%)and presentation (20%). Particularly the following points will be considered.
1. Voluntary learning.
2. Active participation to discussion
3. Careful thinking and understanding to grasp and solve the problem
4. Whether the effort for data and resource collection is sufficient
5. Logical and effective presentation
6. Logical and effective replies to questions
