Requirements |
(1) This class corresponds to the "beginner's level" of study. The class is conducted on the assumption that students have "introductory level" knowledge and skills in psychology. Students who are uncertain about their knowledge and skills should prepare for the class by reading reference books, attending related lectures, etc.
(2) This class is characterized as follows. This is a "build-up" type of class, which means that if you do not understand something, it will be more difficult for you to follow the content of the following classes. Other features will be explained in the first class, so those who want to take this class must attend it.
(3) Related to (2), it is difficult to achieve the goals of this class just by attending the class. It will require hard work, such as constantly doing homework outside of class and consulting with students about areas they do not understand. The instructors of the class consider students who come to them for advice as "trying to understand what you don't understand," so please feel free to ask for help without thinking too much.
(4) Due to the specifications of the statistical software (HAD) used in class, it is recommended that students use a PC with a Windows operating system and Excel 2013 or later installed. Information on how to download and use the software will be posted on Momiji or Teams. Please make sure you have it installed by the beginning of this class.

Message |
(1) This course is designed to be practical and useful for those who plan to conduct research for their graduation thesis. In addition, for students in the psychology course, this class is a preparation for the "Psychology Experiment (required for graduation in the first semester of the third year). Students who are eligible for this course are encouraged to take this class.
(2) However, knowledge of psychological research methods and psychological statistics is essential. Students who are unsure about this are advised to read reference books carefully, and to keep up with preparation and review. In many cases, students in psychology courses will take this class after taking classes for psychological statistics. Please review the contents of the course on psychological statistics. |
