History of Japanese fine arts to the modernized world is explained through the typical expression field from antiquity. The various lives and historical which become a background of a modeling expression note a relation with the link with the social idea and the fine arts or foreign fine arts. I acquire necessary basic knowledge to develop the class of the appriciate Japanese fine arts.

2 Expressions of a Buddhist Image (Asuka and Nara periods)
3 Expressions of a Buddhist Image (Nara and Heian periods)
4 Kara-e and Yamato-e (Heian period)
5 Enrichment of picture scrolls (Heian period)
6 Draw a portrait in the likeness (Kamakura period)
7 The Reception and Development of Ink painting (Nanbokucho and Muromachi periods)
8 Respect for imports from the continent (Muromachi period)
9 Sliding door and wall paintings in the style of the school (Muromachi and Momoyama periods)
10 Various Early Modern Paintings (1): Early Modern Genre Painting and the Birth of Ukiyo-e (Momoyama and Edo periods)
11 Various Early Modern Paintings (2): Rimpa school passed down from generation to generation (Momoyama and Edo periods)
12 Various Early Modern Paintings (3): Nanpin school and Western style (Edo period)
The development and characteristic are explained as well as painter Sesshu is introduced about the Japanese monochrome ink painting completed in Muromachi era.
